Welcome to your very own backstage experience, where you can take a peek behind the curtains and see how the show, the performance, the art was all created.
When you go to an art gallery, you see a resolved artwork. When you go to a theatre show, you see a rehearsed performance. While you see the finished product, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll see what went into bringing it to life, and throughout this year it has been my aim to turn the lens onto the creativity behind what an audience traditionally sees. From past interactions I’ve seen that while with all forms of presentation there is the assumption work was put into it, it can be hard for people to truly see how much effort was involved. This led me to focussing my camera on the documentation of rehearsals and spaces of creative development through which I wish to create a bridge for the audience to gain a deeper understanding into the world of creativity around them.
