小さな世界 (A small world)
The microscopic world: a place we cannot touch to feel or perceive with the naked eye, a realm in which abstraction takes on an entirely new form so far removed from the reality we perceive as humans.
Its complexities in aesthetics alone are astounding; however, despite the elaborate beauty, it simultaneously holds an equal amount of danger and risk.
A cell cluster of deadly diseases grew slowly in the corner of the wall, unbeknownst to the viewer, it quietly sat with its colourful palette and elaborate patterning while harbouring the power to kill any person if it were to enter someone’s system. With this project, I wanted to explore the dichotomy between beauty and danger within the natural world.
Part of my artistic endeavours is to investigate and showcase the fascinating world of biology. How far can we dissect a cell and the completely different world it inhabits?
