‘Mula Piha hanggang Bundok Makiling’ is a body and a plain that resembles the endless cultural evolution of the artist’s identity. Born in the Philippines, moved to Aotearoa. They explored their identity within nature and culture, bringing infinite communities and connections to all that surrounds them.
The self is not one but two, three or four in multiplicity, where in the nothingness of Te Kore is everything. One flow is connected to the ocean, connected to the plants and trees and the clouds; the self is only an extension of nature that exists within our whakapapa of every entity that represents all identities.
