my brother is a bird
These works are a response to my brother’s recent and unexpected death.
The images mirror my grief. Memory is fractured, blurred, fleeting, intangible, complete, clear. The images hold these characteristics. They symbolise my memories of my brother.
Their placement on the page is unconventional. A bit random.
However, like surfing and skating, they have a flow. Grief is a bit random, but it has a flow.
